REFUND POLICY

Basic Terms
This Refund Policy applies to the One on One Korean Class product.
Each product consists of a single one-on-one individual lesson, and each lesson is 50 minutes long.
If you wish to take multiple lessons, each individual lesson is treated as a separate product and must be purchased separately.

Lessons are held on the date and at the time the student reserves directly via the Google Calendar link sent by email after payment is completed.
Students may reserve lessons up to 30 days in advance of the scheduled lesson date, and must complete their reservation at least 24 hours before the lesson start time.

Restrictions and Notes on Refunds Due to Learner Circumstances

2-1. Scope of Application
This section is applied on a per-lesson (per-product) basis.
Even if multiple lessons are purchased at once, eligibility for a refund is determined separately for each lesson.

2-2. Time Limits and Restrictions on Cancellations and Changes

Before 12 hours prior to the lesson start time
– The student may request a lesson cancellation or rescheduling up to 12 hours before the lesson start time.
– If the student cancels a lesson at least 12 hours before the lesson start time, the full lesson fee for that session will be refunded.

Within 12 hours of the lesson start time
– Cancellations or rescheduling requests within 12 hours of the lesson start time are not permitted.
– In such cases, the lesson fee for that session is non-refundable and no make-up lesson will be provided.
– Any lesson falling under the situations above will be regarded as having been completed.

Within 12 hours of the lesson start time
– If the student cancels or requests to reschedule within 12 hours of the lesson start time, rescheduling is not permitted.
– In this case, cancellation is possible, but the lesson fee for that session is non-refundable and no make-up lesson will be provided.
– Any lesson falling under the situations above will be regarded as having been completed.

2-3. Specific Non-Refundable Circumstances

In any of the following cases, the lesson fee for that session is non-refundable and the lesson is deemed to have been completed.

If the student cancels the lesson within 12 hours of the lesson start time.

If the student requests to reschedule within 12 hours of the lesson start time (rescheduling is not permitted in this period).

If the lesson cannot proceed due to learner-side technical or environmental reasons, such as insufficient preparation, poor internet connection, or lack or failure of equipment including headset, microphone, or computer.

If the student is absent from the lesson without prior notice (no-show).

If excessive lateness makes it difficult to conduct a meaningful lesson.
– “Excessive lateness” means that the student has not joined the lesson within 20 minutes after the scheduled start time.
– In such cases, it is treated the same as an unexcused absence.

If the student fails to participate in the lesson due to their own negligence, such as not checking the Zoom access link or not setting reminders.

In all of the above circumstances, neither a refund nor a make-up lesson will be provided.

Refund Policy for Instructor (Provider) Circumstances

If the lesson cannot be conducted due to instructor-side reasons, such as personal circumstances, lack of preparation, or equipment or network issues on the instructor’s side, the full lesson fee for the session that could not be delivered will be refunded.

If the instructor needs to change the lesson schedule, the instructor will, in principle, consult with the student in advance to reschedule to another date and time. If rescheduling is not possible, the full lesson fee for that session will be refunded.

Service Provision Confirmation and Dispute Resolution

Criteria for Completion of Service Provision
A lesson is considered to have been fully provided if any of the following apply:
– The student enters the Zoom classroom and the lesson is actually conducted.
– The student is excessively late (more than 20 minutes after the scheduled start time), making it difficult to conduct a meaningful lesson.
– The lesson cannot proceed due to learner-side reasons such as internet environment or equipment issues, but the instructor remains connected and available for the scheduled lesson time.

For lessons deemed to be completed under the criteria above, refunds are not available due to the nature of digital services.

Payment Methods and Consent
– The act of paying for and scheduling a lesson is regarded as the student’s agreement to this Refund Policy and the Service Terms.
– Even if the owner of the payment method and the actual student taking the lesson are different, the student’s participation in the lesson and completion of the reservation are deemed to constitute the payer’s consent and acceptance of the service.
– The student must not allow others to use their account or payment method without authorization, and may be held responsible for any disputes arising from such use.

Obligation to Consult Before Disputes and Chargeback Requests
– If the student has any disagreement regarding payment, refunds, or whether a lesson was provided, the student should first attempt to resolve the issue with the instructor by email before requesting a chargeback (forced cancellation of payment) through a card company, bank, or electronic payment provider.
– When the instructor receives an objection from the student, the instructor will make reasonable efforts to propose a solution based on this Refund Policy and the actual lesson records.
– If the student repeatedly files chargeback requests with external payment providers for lessons that are deemed to have been properly completed under these terms, the instructor may take necessary measures within a reasonable scope, including restricting future lessons.

Records and Evidence
– Where necessary, the instructor may use Zoom access logs, chat logs, lesson reservation records, and email or messenger communications as evidence to verify whether a lesson was provided and to resolve disputes.
– For the purpose of resolving disputes, the student has a duty to accurately confirm their reservation history and lesson participation and to provide necessary information.

This Refund Policy is subject to applicable laws and the policies of payment gateway providers.
